Stephanie
Rockland
Stephanie
has been studying dance for the past 19 years. She has performed
in various regional andnational competitions with her main focus
on Jazz dance. While attending The University of Rhode Island,
Stephanie was a member of the Ramettes, a prestigious
dance team that traveled and performed nationally. During this
period she studied the urban styles of Jackie Henderson, director
of the renowned hip-hop troupe, "Off the Curb". Stephanie
attends professional classes in Boston, and the Knicks City
Dancers "Boot Camps" in New York City. |
Annie Whelan |
Annie attended school of classical dance under Mille Marie-Therese
Enhart in Versailles, France. She has received her diploma in
teaching and performance for Advanced Classical and Contemporary
Dance from the Schola Cantorum, Paris France. Annie also holds
a diploma in choreography from L'IPAC, Paris, France. Her performing
experience includes Le Ballet Royal de wallonie, in Charleroi,
Belgium and Le Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France. Annie also
wrote, choreographed and directed "La Maschera", an
original neo-classical ballet for the Carnival of Venice. |

Kathryn
Acciari
Kathryn is a B.A. graduate of The University at Buffalo and
Bridgewater State College where she studied Communications and
Performing Arts with a concentration in Dance Education. She
is a licensed dance educator with training in the Vaganova syllabus
for ballet instruction. Her teaching experience includes The
Boston Ballets "Citydance", Arts for Youths Camp,
Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance
along with Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middle Level Educators.
Kathryn has studied dance for over 15 years and is well-versed
in jazz, tap, choreography, and creative movement, and a variety
of modern dance methods, including Graham, Limon, and Horton
techniques. As a teacher, her greatest satisfaction lies in
helping her students grow and progress through the challenges
inherent in each level of dance education.

Myriah
Jost
Myriah holds a B.F.A. from Adelphi University in New York. Her
experience as a dancer include, Repertory Class Performances
with The Green Street Studios, Cambridge, MA, and "Moving
West Dance Repertory Dance Theatre". Her teaching experience
comes from "The New England Dance Academy" of Attleboro
and "A Dancers World" in Sharon. Myriah is also a
member of Greater Brockton Dance Teachers Association. She has
been teaching for local studios in the southeastern Massachusetts
region and is honored to be on the faculty of backstage dance.

Jennifer
Keating
Jennifer
graduated from UMass Amhert with a B.A. in Theatre, and went
on to perform with the Fort Salem Theatre Company in upstate
New York, and was cast as Clara in the musical version of The
Nutcracker with the National Theater for the Performing Arts
before moving to New York City. In the City, she worked for
MTV and The Lion King on Broadway, while performing in various
productions and films. Jennifer began teaching and directing
theatre when she was 15. She has directed 15 productions in
Worcester, Westwood, and UMass Dartmouth, and last year she
directed and produced a theater troupe which toured to area
nursing homes with a musical revue. |
Leah Carboneau |
Leah
had been a student of Backstage since 1994. She is presently enrolled
at Curry College as an Educator major and Dance minor. Leah has
always enjoyed dancing as a child and has the same passion for
teaching children of all ages. |
